Evernote is a cloud service with which users are able to reach their photos and notes saved on the Internet whenever they want. The premium subscription has a minimal monthly or yearly cost and boasts the monthly upload limits, as well as being able to use Premium features.

Evernote partnered with Sourcenext to increase the number of users in Japan. Case Study: Bitdefender

Antivirus software giant Bitdefender was founded in 2001. Since then, they’ve become an industry leader in internet security and malware protection, with more than 500 million users across the globe. Bitdefender produces antivirus and internet security solutions for Mac, PC and mobile users, Linux/Unix, and virtualized environments.

Bitdefender’s 2013 offerings were recently named AV Comparatives “Product of the Year,” "AV-Test's Best Repair," and “Best Antivirus for 2013” by PC Magazine. Major technology reviewers and independent testers regularly rank Bidefender products ahead of corresponding solutions from the largest security companies from around the world.

Sourcenext and Bitdefender partnered to promote two of Bitdefender’s flagship security solutions – Bitdefender Total Security for PC and Bitdefender Mobile Security for Android. Bitdefender Total Security defends Windows users from malware without slowing systems down, and ensures safe browsing, social networking, e-banking and more. Mobile Security for Android guards against electronic threats and scans apps before they’re installed.

Sourcenext localized and rebranded both solutions specifically for the Japanese market. Within their first year of expanding sales into Japan, they earned 2.5% of marketshare. It’s not easy for security companies to develop a strong presence internationally, but, thanks to an experienced partner like Sourcenext, Bitdefender’s sales have taken off swiftly in Japan.

Animoto is very well-known and popular movie creating service in the US, which allows users to upload photos and video clips of their choice and use powerful and easy-to-use design templates / music to create stunning, high-quality videos.

"Backblaze" is a online backup service which boasts a "unlimited backup". Unlike other backup software which requires many confusing configurations and setting changes, Backblaze backs up data automatically and silently, so all users need to do is to simply install the software.

Bitdefender is a security software company which provides its security products to over 500 million users worldwide (including via OEM partners). At SOURCENEXT, we helped to localize and bring to the Japanese market, two of their main flagship products, Bitdefender Total Security (for PC) and Bitdefender Mobile Security (for Android).
As difficult as it is to break into the market with a new security product, by rebranding the product to best suit the local needs, we have helped them to gain 4.7% shares within the first year of sales.

Dropbox simplifies millions of people's lives by letting them bring their documents, photos, and videos anywhere and share them easily. The service has 200 million users in 200 countries and is used in over 2 million businesses.
Prior to the partnership with SOURCENEXT, Dropbox was only available for purchase online. SOURCENEXT is now making Dropbox available to a broader audience in Japan by selling "100 GB of Dropbox space for one year" inside retail stores.

"EnglishCentral" is an online movie site which specializes in videos for learning English and carries over 1,200 total movies on their website. By creating a packaged Android app using these English training videos, SOURCENEXT has helped introduce the product to an even wider market.

Evernote is an extremely popular cloud service which allows users to create, edit and organize their notes and photos online and also download and view them on their PC or portable device at any convenient time. Seeing the possibilites of a breakthrough product, we helped to develop an "All-in-one" package for Evernote, which focused on introducing the product to a more "lighter" audience, allowing more novice users to experience the wonderful services it had to offer. "Reader's Digest English 20" is an English learning software which uses dramatic movies based on real-life scenarios to teach and train users' English listening / speaking skills. By introducing the product on our own webshop "SOURCENEXTeSHOP", we helped push sales dramatically, and as a result, the product was ranked 7th in sales on Amazon Japan's "Top 100 English Learning Software" (as of February 2013).

Rovio Entertainment Ltd. with its headquarters in Finland is an entertainment media company which has achieved global success with their “Angry Birds” franchise. Founded in 2003 as a development studio focusing on the development of games for mobile platforms, Rovio has gone on to extend their outreach to games on other platforms and has achieved numerous prestigious awards along the way.
